Tana Love

Papi is really into her rugby and decided that as a true Hurricanes fan with so much hair she just had to get dreads.

Go 'Canes!! Papi thinks they're the best team ever. Well they've won every game in her lifetime - with a bonus point! Posted by Picasa

Gypsy Fair

A 'Gypsy' Fair was on in Nelson this weekend. We decided to go along to check it out and make it a little more authentic. At least while we were there there were actual Gypsy's there! It was alright, a bunch of hippies and a few arts and crafts stalls. There were even Gypsy dancers... I think the spelling was a bit wrong and it was actually Dipsy dancing!!!
As you can see Papi was well worn out by the end and fell fast asleep. So cute!Posted by Picasa

Alexus Laura Jesse Churton

Here is Papatya's newest cousin (or second cousin or something. My cousin's daughter.) She was born around three weeks ago. She was born a little early and only weighed 850 grams. We went to see her while in Wellington. She is so lovely. Just a wee little thing, but perfect and healthy. Impossible not to fall in love with! Posted by Picasa

Cool trousers aye!

Well, as you can see Papatya is having such a great fun time in NZ. We've heard that the weather in Turkey is really cold and snowy still... so we're staying on here for another week (sorry Tahir). We've changed our tickets for the 13th of March. We figured that there'll still be time to settle in back home before I go back to work at the end of the month and why not spend as much time here in the lovely sun as possible. Yaay! Four Generations

We're back in Nelson now after a lovely week in Wellington. We didn't manage to see everyone we had hoped to, sorry if we missed you. We did get up to Otaki to visit Papatya's great grandparents. Here's a photo of the four generations. Posted by Picasa

Update

Hi everyone,
I hope you have all been enjoying the pictures we've posted so far. Digital cameras are great, but you can also get carried away and take far too many photos! That's what the collages are for, I can't always decide which picture is best so I'm putting them all on together!

The holiday is going great. The weather has been lovely (for those of you in the cold winter, it is cold and rainy here today... well it's rainy anyway! Not quite the blizzards we left in Ankara and Istanbul, but we couldn't go in the swimming pool today...)

Papatya is doing well. She's got used to the time being the oppisite to what she's known. She'll hate us when we go back home and it's all the other way again.

We're all off to Wellington for the next week. I'll try and do some updating if I get to a computer, otherwise we'll be back next Thursday with loads of photos.
